Pastor Tommy Barnett, “The Bus Ministry is not about transportation, it is about soul-winning.” Through the Bus Ministry, thousands and thousands of people have been able to come to church when they would have had no other way to do so. Every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday our Dream Center buses pull up into Los Angeles neighborhoods ready to take people to church.

Many times someone will hear about our church through our outreaches, like our Food Truck, Adopt-A-Block, or the Mobile Medical Truck. One example was when a gentleman called us to thank us for the free food we had given out through the Food Truck. He asked if there was a way for him to come to church since he didn’t have a car.


When I saw his address I noticed he lived close to where the Dream Center bus stops on Sunday morning in the Westlake neighborhood. I told him to be waiting outside of his apartment on Sunday morning at 9:00 and we would swing by and pick him up.

It was the first time he had been to church in years and he absolutely loved it! He even went up to the altar and prayed during altar call. Now he is a regular at the stop.

Although the kids that ride that bus can be rowdy at times, he brings candy to share with them every Sunday Morning. He has really taken ownership of the bus; he loves the bus driver and all of the workers. He is now getting involved with the church, attending acting classes that are offered and making tons of new friends.
