FAQ
What are Outreach Activities?
Your team will be able to experience many different
areas of ministry. At the Dream Center, a typical
week may include:
Adopt-A-Block, His Hands Extended,
Under the Bridge, Feeding Program, Bus Ministry, Hope for Homeless, Youth Outreach,
Kitchen/Food Service,
Skid Row Outreach, Food Truck,
Gifts In Kind
…And so much more! During your stay here,
your team will fulfill the current needs of the
Dream Center, so ministry involvement will vary.
For more information about our ministries, click
on the Outreaches button on the top menu bar.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $59 a night per person. This includes room and board. You have the opportunity to purchase Dream Center hats, t-shirts and other great merchandise on campus. There are also vending machines and a café that you might want to bring extra spending money for.
What is the dress code?
The Dream Center sends outreach teams into the
neediest areas of Los Angeles. While you are here,
you are representing the Dream Center and a Christian
lifestyle. It is very important that all volunteers/visiting
team members dress modestly and in such a way
that does not draw attention to themselves. Dress
code regulations are as follows:
1. No spaghetti strapped, midriff, low cut or
sleeveless tops.
2. Shorts or skirts must be knee length
3. Closed shoes must be worn on outreaches and
campus work assignments.
Will transportation be provided?
We ask that you provide your own transportations
while you’re here in L.A.. We can recommend
several rental companies for you to call. Click
HERE
for a rental list.
What is the age limit?
No one under the age of 15 is allowed on this
trip. Younger youth are often not ready for the
challenges of the Dream Center environments.
What are the accommodations?
During your stay at the Dream Center, you will
share rooms with between 6 to 12 people. None of
the rooms have showers, but most have bathrooms.
Due to the sometimes large number of people visiting
on a weekly basis, you might also have to share
rooms with people from other teams and other parts
of the world. Short Term Missions will provide
bedding and towels.
