The Rampart Block outreach is mostly for young kids, teens and families. Single moms head most of the families we serve in the Rampart area. These moms are trying to care for kids and keep them safe from the violence and out of gangs, while struggling to meet their basic needs.

While this area is hit hard by violence, poverty and a lack of options, there is also an island of hope. The Dream Center sits in the middle of Rampart. In the years since we took up residence here, the blocks immediately around us have seen a 73% decline in homicide! The police attribute the peace and lack of violence in our area to our presence and the outreach we do.

That is a powerful statement that shows the impact we can have as we adopt more of these blocks. We have seen these hardened areas experience breakthrough and become blocks full of life and hope. We can bring opportunity and a chance for a better life into each of these blocks.
