DCD Graduate- March 2010

Hadius Armani is a 43 year-old, second year graduate of the Dream Center Discipleship (DCD) program. Hadi was actually a very successful man before coming to Los Angeles; making over $50,000 as a chiropractor, Hadi knew that the average life was not what God had in store for him. “I just followed God’s voice.” Hadi did follow God’s voice, from St. Louis to Phoenix and finally to Los Angeles.

Initially, Hadi thought he had come to Los Angeles to change Hollywood. He started to pursue an acting career, took voice lessons, theater, marshal arts, and made connections everywhere he could. As time went on however, Hadi began to see the friends he had made start to fall away into drugs, alcohol, and the Hollywood party scene. All the while, the savings that he had come out to Los Angeles with were slowly dwindling.

“It got down to where I only had $2,000 in the bank and down to just a motorcycle; all the while [I was] still trying to make it in the industry.” It was at this point when a friend invited Hadi to Angelus Temple where he heard Pastor Matthew speak and found out about the Dream Center. God once again spoke to him and told him to “give up the money” and enter the DCD program. It was at this time that Hadi realized that God had made him come to Hollywood to rid him of the burden of his money.

As Hadi puts it, “DCD made me realize I had more issues than the rest of these guys.” Hadi shared that just because he had a well-off background that did not mean God did not have things that He wanted to work on with him. He explains how prior to DCD he never realized it, but he had significant anger and control issues. Thankfully God has worked on him, and Hadi no longer struggles with that.

Since beginning DCD, Hadi says, “My love for people has grown.” Hadi wants to take his experiences from his time in DCD and use his Persian descent to put a Dream Center in Iran.
