The Spanish ministry has gone beyond their church building and has tirelessly pursued full-time ministry to Hispanics in the Los Angeles area. Holding services that have about four hundred people in attendance, individuals come from areas including Mexico, Nicaragua, and Honduras to pursue dreams. There have been people who have sold everything that they had in order to move to Los Angeles, only to see their hopes become hopelessness.

“If they have something they need, we help,” says Emma, assistant to Pastor José Luna who heads up the Spanish ministry. Emma oversees the various ministries and events that take place with the ministry. Pastor Matthew Barnett’s vision to reach the Hispanic community has come to fruition through Iglesia Centro de Sueños, which invites people to the Dream Center to receive clothes, food, rehabilitation and a deeper relationship with God. Emma works tirelessly to ensure that her spiritual family in the Spanish ministry is taken care of.

Nearly twenty new members arrive at the church in any given week, and no one leaves empty-handed. “I always say to God, ‘Thank you for this place’,” says Emma. God has greatly blessed the Spanish ministry, and people who cannot afford transportation are able to ride the Dream Center bus to services. In addition, countless prayers have been answered and several people who have struggled with unemployment have been able to receive jobs.

In many ways, Iglesia Centro de Sueños is like one, big family where those in the congregation receive support, especially considering that many of their families live outside of the United States. Los invitamos a nuestro servicios.
