| Dream Center begins renovation on old Queen of Angels hospital to eventually house thousands
The Dream Center has been working on renovations of the old Queen of Angels Hospital for about 14 years. The original budget for completion was around $30 million but thanks to building firms Rovner Construction and Noah Construction they cut down the cost to around $18 million.
When the building is complete, the Dream Center will be able to house 1200 people which is double the current housing. The newly completed tower will house a Welcome Center/Bookstore, Private Academy (Jr. and Sr. High), Short Term Missions, Business and Accounting Offices, Development, Marketing, and Foundation Offices, Program and Admin Offices, Home for Teen Girls, Women’s Residential Home, Vocational & Job Training Center, Human Trafficking and Executive Offices, Board Room and Prayer Terrace.
The Capital Campaign, with all renovations complete, is due to be completed at the end of 2010. Throughout completion of the project, the Dream Center is looking to hold ribbon cutting and “ground breaking” ceremonies to commemorate this monumental event.
