There are a large number of individuals who qualify for Medicare, a medical insurance company specifically for senior citizens who are unable to work. The elderly have health concerns that are related to the natural process of growing old, and need accommodations to endure the difficult times that beset them.
The Golden Years can be more like the bleak years for our society’s older individuals. For many years, they have depended on the assurance of being supported by Medicare; however, with the downward spiral of the economy, the funds of this well-known health insurance company is becoming depleted, and will likely become bankrupt within the next few years, leaving thousands upon thousands of elderly Americans in a discouraging situation.
Those who do not have a retirement fund will be left hoping and wishing that they will be able to survive, but no senior citizen should have to live in fear because of the failing economy. Many individuals living in Los Angeles will be able to hold on to a sliver of hope though, thanks to the Mobile Medical Truck Ministry of the Dream Center. Each week, a group of people from the Dream Center travel into the inner cities and neighborhoods that have been hit hard by the economy and provide numerous individuals, including senior citizens, with much needed health care, free of charge. This ministry is a blessing to hundreds of people in the city as well as residents of the Dream Center in recovery or volunteer programs who cannot afford health insurance.
